I was asked on Twitter this evening. HOW TO START/BUILD A MAKEUP KIT?

Its not done over night. I will list “MUST HAVES” for starting your makeup kit.

1 Makeup case-Make sure your personal makeup is separate from your clients makeup.

2 Proper skin care and Hygiene-(start with all skin type products and oil free) cleanser,moisturizer,sunscreen,lip balm,Hydrating mist or Toner.Hand sanitizer,brush cleaner and disposable wands

3 Brush set- synthetic and natural

4 Primer- Face primer helps with application lasting long and looking smooth             *TIP* STILA ONE STEP PRIMER IS GREAT FOR ALL SKIN.It hydrates,controls oil,color corrects,minimize pores,fills fine lines and wrinkles.This primer is like a serum even feels like one.

5 Cream foundation- A palette works great. Have cool,warm,and neutral undertones.

6 Eyeshadow and Blush-Variety of mattes,satins and shimmer.You can have cream,powder,or loose*TIP*use eyeshadow as blush or vise versa and shadow as eyeliner.

7 Eyelash curler and Mascara-remember curl your lashes before you apply mascara. Have water-resistant and non water resistant. Have a variety of different mascaras.

8 Lipstick and Gloss- variety of colors and finishes.

9 Translucent powder/spray- Finishes your makeup look and is great for the camera (HD)  and long wear.

10 EYELASHES- This is last on my list but is becoming my favorite makeup accessory. Have a large range of colors,shapes,lengths and styles.

*TIP* STACK LASHES ON TOP OF EACH OTHER TO CREATE FULLNESS WITH OUT USING MASCARA. USE BLACK GLUE TO CREATE A MORE NATURAL LOOK

REMEMBER THERE ARE NO RULES TO MAKE UP. HAVE FUN, EXPLORE AND NEVER GIVE UP IN YOUR CRAFT IN WHAT EVER YOU DO.
